About the role
We currently have an opening for a Technical Estimator and Design Draftsperson in our Keilor Park office. Reporting to the Laser Department Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting Automaint Lasers customers and clients through all items relating to parts manufacture & laser cutting and fabrication of their products.
- Servicing our customer’s needs and requests professionally, thoroughly and in a timely manner
- Follow up with customer requests, including quotations, order processing, technical and general queries.
- Assisting the production, sales, and customer service team with technical support when required.
About the candidate
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for sheet metal processes.
- An understanding of fabrication processes including, laser cutting, folding, welding and assembly processes.
- Experience with 3D design packages, preferably Inventor.
- Experience in Sheetmetal design.
- Preparation of quotes.
- Good customer focus skills.
- Liaising with suppliers to source components.
- Good organizational and team working skills.
- Excellent customer service / negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines.
- Willing to learn laser cutting & brake press folding software.
- An understanding of quality management systems.
- A working experience of MS Office.
